Midgley Village Community

Midgley Community Forum

The Forum aims to provide and improve facilities for residents, and to hold activities which improve quality of life and enhance community spirit.

The Forum is open to anyone living in Midgley or its surroundings that supports its aims, and holds occasional meetings in the Community Room to review progress and agree future plans. Meetings are advertised in the village newsletter.

Community Groups in Midgley, West Yorkshire

The Forum supports a number of sub-groups which meet independently…

Social Group

A friendly group that meets every month or so to plan and organise village events, from major fund-raisers like the village fete and Open Gardens, to walks, quizzes, talks and coach trips. Meetings are usually in people's houses and are lively and informal.

The group always welcomes new members and offers of help with all aspects of running events, and would be delighted to hear from you if you would like to get involved. Contact Jennifer Vale, 01422 885466.

Twinning

Not a Midgley Community Forum initiative, but relevant and local, Hebden Royd is twinned with four towns overseas. For more information, see the Hebden Bridge Twinning Society website.

…and Plenty More

Information about the many other groups is in the What's On section, with details of the events that they organise.
