Midgley Community Forum

Midgley Community Forum raises funds and organises events in the community. It aims to provide facilities/activities to improve the quality of life of the local community, encouraging a community spirit and providing a safe and inclusive environment.

Membership of the forum is open to all residents of Midgley and its environs.  There is no membership fee.  The Committee consists of the Chair, Secretary and Treasurer and up to nine other members elected at the AGM holding office for one year with eligibility for re-election at the AGM.

Midgley Matters Association ( MMAL)

Midgley Matters Assoociation ( MMAL) is a non- profit organisation, an Industrial and Provident society whose primary function is to facilitate and operate the village shop, which is entirely managed and supervised by volunteers. MMAL's purpose is to ensure that any surplus income is reinvested for the benefit of the community. 

The building was bought and renovated through various means - share issues, grants and community events. The shop, community room and apartment above is now a community owned asset.

We always need enthusiastic and community-minded people to join us with the following expertise : -

Finance/Accounting, Communications, Legal, Community Engagement work.
